(1) Policies & Guidelines

At Mountain Rest Cabins and Campground, our aim is to provide you with a relaxing getaway, allowing you to unwind from daily routines and find serenity. While we keep rules to a minimum, there are certain guidelines we must adhere to:

Rates, Cancellation, Changes, Payment:

All reservations require a non-refundable prepayment.
For nightly, weekly, holiday, and special event stays, a minimum 50% deposit is needed upon reservation.
Rescheduling incurs a $20.00 administration fee.
During holiday weekends, such as Memorial Day and Christmas, a minimum three (3) nights' stay is required, with no early check-ins permitted.
Given our location in Sumter National Forest, we do not offer refunds for weather-related incidents or encounters with local wildlife.
Rates are adjusted seasonally and exclude a one-time cleaning fee and 10% tax.
Cancellations made at least thirty (30) days in advance receive credit for a future stay.
"No-Shows" are subject to full charges, and refunds are not issued for early departures or late check-ins.
Changes to reservations are based on availability and cannot be guaranteed.
We accept reservations up to twelve (12) months in advance.

(2) Child Supervision:

Children must be supervised by adults at all times for their safety.

Pet Policy:
Pets are welcome with a non-refundable fee of $35 for the first pet and $25 for the second.

(3) Cleaning Fees:

All damages will be charged to your credit card, with a bill for repairs or replacements mailed to the address provided upon registration.

Check-In and Guests:

Upon arrival, all guests must check-in at the office for the keycode, any outstanding balances, to sign waivers, and receive area maps. If arriving after 6 PM, please inform the office manager, and your key will be left in an envelope at the front door. Additionally, names of all guests must be provided at check-in.

Guest Responsibility:

You are responsible for your guests, and smoking is not permitted in our cabins. An additional sanitation fee of $30 will be charged if the cabin smells of cigarettes. Check-in is at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Late check-out may be available for a minimal fee. Guests are responsible for keeping their campsite and fire circle free of garbage and cigarette butts. Trash cans are available at the bathhouse for convenience.

Management Contact:

Our campground staff are available 24 hours a day and can be reached at 864-718-0333. If any issues arise with appliances or other matters affecting your cabin's function, please notify us immediately for prompt resolution. Holding complaints until the end of your stay does not warrant rate discounts or free night stays.

Legal Disclaimer:

Management is not responsible for lost, stolen, or left items. Additionally, we do not condone any illegal actions taken by guests or their parties. We reserve the right to enter the property or request any person to vacate if found breaking any written or moral rules.
