For the experienced and adventurous rafter, Section IV offers the southeast’s most fabled set of rapids, the Five Falls. Three heart-pounding Class IV/V rapids (depending on water level) are strung together over a 1/4 mile gorge, where the river drops more than 75 feet through Entrance, Corkscrew, Crack-In-the-Rock, Jawbone, and Sock’em Dog. This is a fully guided trip, and guests should be prepared to be active participants in this rafting experience.
